IGT has signed a 10-year licensing agreement with Sony Pictures Television.

The new partnership will give IGT exclusive rights to the Wheel of Fortune brand across gaming, lottery, iGaming and iLottery. IGT will also have non-exclusive rights to distribute Wheel of Fortune content across free-to-play social casinos.

The contract will run from the start of 2025 until the end of 2034.

Wheel of Fortune began as a TV Quiz show in 1975 and is still being produced today. Since then, the brand has expanded and spawned into other gaming options. Since 1996, IGT's Wheel of Fortune slots have paid out more than $3.5bn in jackpots and awarded $1m-plus jackpots to more than 1,100 players

This year, IGT signed a multi-year deal with Santa Ana Star Casino Hotel in New Mexico and also announced another 10-year agreement this year, partnering with the National Lottery in Malta.

Renato Ascoli, slots IGT CEO, Global Gaming said: "In securing exclusive gaming, lottery, iGaming and iLottery access to the Wheel of Fortune brand through 2034, IGT can maximize the returns of this licensing partnership and advance our legacy of creating omnichannel Wheel of Fortune games that generate demand and award prolific jackpots.

"Sony Pictures Television has been a trusted IGT partner for more than 25 years and in that time, we've delivered a diverse portfolio of Wheel of Fortune games that has set the industry standard for innovation, is the clear leader in industry game-performance charts and generated significant revenue for our customers."
